Appropriate Building Use:

Due to a couple of recent unintentional events of items being broken by throwing or kicking balls in the building, the elders find that it is necessary to make clear what they consider appropriate activity in the building. This is not an attempt to limit the enjoyment of any certain group but is meant to protect and prolong the use of our facilities. The elders understand that people are more important than buildings but find that there is a need to balance the use of the building and the cost of unnecessary repairs that will limit the congregation’s ability to accomplish her mission, i.e. to reach the hurting people in our community with the loving heart of God.

Not appropriate:

٠When the meeting area is setup for use as a Worship Center there will be NO throwing, kicking, or tossing of any items in this area. This includes footballs, soccer balls, tennis balls, paper balls, duct tape balls, Frisbees, or any other item, either designed to be played with in like manner or not.

٠There is no appropriate time in which any of the items mentioned above may be thrown, tossed, or kicked in any other part of the building, except as part of a lesson that a teacher is personally supervising, and then extreme caution must be observed at all times.

٠On Sunday there will be NO “horseplay” in the building until after the noon hour.

Appropriate

٠Any adult who is witness to any of the above activities has the right and responsibility to ask those involved to stop.

٠Any person or group must stop when asked to do so.

٠“Four Square” is allowed to be played even if the meeting area is set up as a worship center provided it is not a Sunday morning and the game is kept under control.

٠It will be considered appropriate to play on the pool table, ping-pong table or air hockey table when the meeting area is set up as a worship center, provided it is not a Sunday morning and games are played responsibly.

٠It is always appropriate to play outside.

The elders thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
